Set up email in Outlook for Windows

Follow these steps to add your iHwy-hosted email account to Microsoft Outlook on a Windows PC.

Your domain

Wherever this guide says yourdomain.com, use the part of your email address after the @ sign. For example, if your address is jane@example.org, your server is mail.example.org and your username is jane@example.org.

Steps

  1. Open Outlook and choose File, then Add Account.
  2. Enter your email address, click Advanced options, check Let me set up my account manually, then click Connect.
  3. Choose IMAP and enter the settings shown below.
  4. Click Next, enter your password, and click Connect.

Settings to check

  • Incoming: mail.yourdomain.com, port 993, encryption SSL/TLS.
  • Outgoing: mail.yourdomain.com, port 587, encryption STARTTLS.
  • Secure Password Authentication (SPA): unchecked in both places.
Outlook for Windows IMAP settings: incoming mail.yourdomain.com port 993 with SSL/TLS, outgoing port 587 with STARTTLS, Secure Password Authentication (SPA) unchecked
