Set up email on iPhone and iPad
Follow these steps to add your iHwy-hosted email account to the built-in Mail app on your iPhone or iPad.
Your domain
Wherever this guide says yourdomain.com, use the part of your email address after the @ sign. For example, if your address is jane@example.org, your server is mail.example.org and your username is jane@example.org.
Steps
- Open Settings, then tap Apps, then Mail, then Mail Accounts, then Add Account.
- Enter your email address and tap Next. Tap Add Other Account, then Mail Account. On older iPhones, tap Other, then Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name, password, and a description (such as My Email), then tap Next.
- Tap IMAP at the top. Fill in both the Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server sections as shown on the left below, then tap Next and Save.
- To check encryption and ports, go back to the account and tap Account, then Advanced for incoming, or SMTP for outgoing (right picture).
Settings to check
- User Name: enter your full email address in both sections. The outgoing User Name and Password are not optional.
- Incoming: Use SSL on, Authentication Password, port 993.
- Outgoing: Use SSL on, Authentication Password, port 587.
